Galleria: The Mall That Time Forgot
full book design
Client: Salted Pepper Projects
Author and photographer: Shari Kasman
For many years, Shari Kasman would venture to the Galleria, a mall close to her home and take photos of the hallways, businesses, and anything that interested her. Now slated for demolition, the Galleria was a time capsule straight from the 1970s, having never been updated to appeal to a changing demographic.
This book is both a love letter and a witty gaze on this strange green-yellow shopping centre. I designed the cover and interior and helped (as much as one can!) with colour correcting these photos.
