This massive collection of over 100 essays chronicles the queer communities in Toronto and how they have shaped this city. One request was made by the editors with respect to the cover design: no rainbows.
I asked the editors to provide me with keywords (names, dates, places, issues) so that the cover could embrace as many identities and subjects as possible. And since there are nine (!!!) editors, we placed their names on the back in order to focus on those keywords, the title, and the subtitle. I used a very bright combination of green, blue, and red to make this stand out, even vibrate a bit.
