Victimology: A Canadian Perspective

book covers / non-fiction
Client: University of Toronto Press, Higher Education Division
Author: Jo-Anne M. Wemmers
This book introduces and explains the relatively new field of victimology, which crosses the fields of criminology, law, sociology, and justice. The client wanted to avoid the more-obvious imagery of a person in crisis, so I opted instead for symbolism: the crash-test dummy calibration mark, which is used in simulation tests to help pinpoint impact and damage. It seemed to be a fitting symbol for this new field of study. The client also requested a bookmark.
