The second novel in André Alexis’ quincrux—winner of the Giller Prize for Fiction and the Rogers Writers’ Trust Fiction Prize, as well as the finalist for 2017’s CBC Canada Reads—draws inspiration from the Greek apologue style of storytelling, where animals take on human roles. The cover is intended to reflect a classical Greek vase with its black figurines.
My original English Canada design has been adapted for numerous other languages, including French Canadian and Slovenian. Quite an honour (and so interesting to see this book in different languages and formats!).
